Cool Nerd Mark at Mckinley Hill Haunted Street Fair!

McKinley, Tacoma, WA

I'll be playing on the "acoustic" stage thought I'm told Its totally cool if i plug in and play some loud stuff too!

This event will be the first time I play some new songs live, but there will be plenty of stuff from my two CDs and also a few spooky covers for the season!

Halloween Freaks at the Beach Market 2026

Ocean Shores Convention Center, Ocean Shores, WA

I'm returning in October for the ?th time this 2 day event full of weird and wonderful people and stuff. I'll be in the corner next to the giant inflatable Halloween sign, as always, and ready to play for you every hour!

I'll also have a table set up where you can check out my D&D books, CDs, dice, and other cool merch, and chat with me about all things nerdy.

While you're there you can get your pre-holiday shopping done, and that does include the spooky holidays.

Cool Nerd Mark Holiday Show!

Freighthouse Square, Tacoma, WA

I'll be sharing some holiday nerd cheer with the crowd at Frieghthouse square during Midwinter Fest: A Carnival and Craft Faire.
The event hours are 11 to 4, and I'll be on stage at 2 but wandering the halls to play some music before and after my set!
I hear there is a group of belly dancers and my friend the Borealis Bard will be playing guitar and singing some Ren Faire classics!

I'll have some new songs to share and will throw in a few holiday nerd classics you can sing along with!

Do you like drinking and listening to lectures! Well this is the event for you. I'll be joined by 2 other presenters and we will delight you with a diverse range of topics and PowerPoint presentations! The venue has food, drinks, and a taco truck. What more do you need?

My topic is: Universal Monster Movies: The Frightening History of the First Cinematic Universe

I'll share some of the research I did for Reptiles and Monsters, and how these early horror films came together to form the concept of a cinematic universe that we now see in franchises like Marvel, DC, and Star Wars.

I'm not performing (they don't do music), but I'll have a booth in the showroom all day where you can check out my latest music, gaming products, and play along with whatever interactive game I come up with!

I've been attending this con for years and its a great time! Always a great place to get some early holiday shopping done!

A big comic/nerd convention in Everett where I did two mulitmedia shows, projecting my video while performing!

From Urban Unglued Halloween market

We recently had the opportunity of having Cool Mark Nerd perform at our Halloween Market.  Mark's quirky and fun personality definitely showed up in his music, and how he drew shoppers in to participate was genius.   We had shoppers and vendors alike coming to us and asking for us to have him perform again at future events.   (Which we plan on doing)
